You're HOW Old?!?!

This past friday marked nitin's 40th birthday... or was it 38?!!
I guess when you've got so many grey hairs, it doesn't make a difference anymore - age ain't nothing but a number! All of us "youngsters" got together for what seemed to be a never ending five-course meal at Kittichai in NYC (by the way, does anyone know at what age we should stop calling ourselves youngsters?!). All the cousins gathered at this fun and trendy thai restaurant- vijay and sanjana, anil and bubble, perry and shyena, vikki, andy, guna and her imaginary hunk :) and of course, the birthday boy and his beautiful wife, Sapna. Yes, let's not remind me of that empty 12th chair... in time, that too, shall be occupied! While the martinis and champagne were flowing all night, we feasted on a wide assortment of creative dishes... those chocolate back ribs were something new for all of us!

By the time the last course came around, we had the waiters pack it up before they even had the chance to put the food down. This is definitely a family with a keen appetite, but all this food was too much even for us to handle. To complete the meal, we all sang happy birthday to Nitin and devoured a delicious chocolate mousse... when it comes to chocolate, we all suddenly had space in our tummies! We had plans to continue the night with some dancing and more drinking, but after all that eating, we were so sleepy and full - some of us having to undo our top button in order to continue breathing - that we called it a night. We said goodnight to each other, and we were off...Nitin was thankful for that - at his age, partying until the wee hours of the night is out of the question!
